Fic: RunAway - VI. Lost
Chapter Title: Lost
Chapter Summary: Billy gets the news that Dom is missing
Three weeks after Dom’s disappearance, people started to talk. There had been no call or warning, and the writers were having panic attacks over Charlie’s absence from the show. Naveen was at Dom’s house feeding the pets when the phone rang.
“Dom? Where have you been? I called Orli and he sa—"
“Elijah, Dom’s not here.”
“What?”
“He said he had a family emergency and went to England to see his parents.”
“Have you called them?”
“I don’t have their number. Evi might, but she’s… She wants nothing to do with Dom anymore after that night.”
“What night? Never mind. I’ll call them, then. How long has he been gone?”
“Three weeks. He hasn’t called anyone here to explain, either.”
“Alright, I’ll call you back when I know something. Thanks, Naveen.”
Elijah searched through his desk looking for Dom’s contact information. He finally found it written on the back of an envelope in Dom’s messy scrawl.
“Hi, Mr. Monaghan? This is Elijah. Wood. I was just wondering if you’ve seen Dom recently?”

“Billy, answer your phone. Pick up, Bill, I know you’re home. It’s about Dom. He told me he was with Orli, only he wasn’t, and he told everyone in Hawaii that he was with his parents, only he’s not. So, call me back and tell me where he is.”

“Elijah, I just got your message. Do you mean you don’t know where Dom is?”
“He’s not with me, Orli, anyone on Lost, or his parents. I assumed he’d be with you.”
“Well, he’s not. You haven’t heard from him at all?”
“No, Bill, no one has. So he’s not with you?”
“No! He didn’t even give me an excuse! Lij, listen for a minute. He… We had a bit of a fight. He was calling me for a while, then he just stopped. About a month ago. Is that when…”
“Yeah, that’s about the time he disappeared.”
“Disappeared? You think he was kidnapped or something?”
“It’s a possibility. I don’t think so, though. He stopped answering my calls a few weeks before that. Maybe he’s just in one of his moods again, like before?”
“God, I hope not. Oh, fucking hell!”
“He wasn’t suicidal, Billy. Just depressed. I’m sure he’s fine.”
“No, Elijah, he’s not fine. He’s not fucking fine, and I have to find him.”
