Flist and whoever might be wandering through, what are your thoughts/opinions on Net Neutrality? I'm working on forming my own opinions, but any other points of view would be great.
Edit: Now that I'm slightly more knowledgable in this area (meaning: not knowledgable at all) I think I'm for Net Neutrality. It seems to stand for equal rights and no discrimination. Then again, the other side has a justifiable reason; if there are no "fast lanes" then an x-ray of someone's heart gets the same priority as a Britney Spears video. (not my example). But even so, I think that equality should be the bottom line. And if the people with the x-ray and the people with the video pay for the same services, then they should be treated equally. But don't base your opinions off mine because I haven't a clue as to what I'm talking about.
Edit 2: I had to contact my dad. lol! But he said that I basically have it right. For NN means that users control what they see/have access to on the internet. Against NN means that internet service providers (like comcast) control who has access to what. Which is bad for internet businesses like Amazon.com and Google, because the ISP could potentially limit or restrict web traffic to their sites. It's all beginning to make sense now..... *g*
Edit 3: bloodrayveness gave me a great link about Net Neutrality with a music video to go with it! Check it out here, even if you don't care, because the video is awesome. And freaky. lol!
