That stupid Declining By Degrees paper is finally turned in. With the last draft stapled to the back and a cover letter on the front and everything. I'm very relieved about not having to work on this paper anymore. It's DONE. And if it doesn't get at least an average grade, I will fucking cry. Because in my (and my family/friends') opinion, it was an A/B paper when I STARTED, and it's only gotten better since then.
So, today we watched a movie called Wings of Desire, which is entirely in German, so we had to read subtitles. I was actually impressed with how many of the spoken German words I was able to pick out without reading the subtitles though. But anyway, the movie seemed to have very little plot. I think the movie City of Angels, with Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan, was based on this one, but this one had decidedly less plot. *g* So, I have to write a seminar/response paper on it by Wednesday. >.< Bloody hell.

Astronomy
Talked about the planets today. Very fun. Lots of interesting little facts like... well, I can't remember any right now, but I took notes!! lol! Facts like Mars' core is probably nearly frozen or moving very very slowly. And Venus' atmosphere is so thick that, were you standing on the surface (nevermind the heat and such), light would seem to wiggle in the air and if you moved, it would be like walking through molasses.
But, the highlight of the day came when some guy in the class asked the prof a question. The prof began answering, but the resident know-it-all interrupted him and started giving a long, complicated answer. Question-guy didn't even look at Know-It-All-guy, but said (politely but sternly) "I was asking [the professor], sorry." And Know-It-All-guy's mouth snapped closed and he disappeared during break and didn't come back for the second half of the class. While he was gone, a few of the people around Question-guy congratulated him on getting Know-It-All-guy to shut up. It was very nice to witness. :D

I'll probably edit this post later with more stuff, but I have to go for now...
