computer issues

1) My monitor has been giving me trouble since forever, it feels like. The colors are wayyy off, and not even changing the brightness/contrast will fix it. I lived with it for a while, but when it comes time to make icons or what have you, I have to either work over on my sister's nicely calibrated new flatscreen, or end up making weird-looking, super-bright pictures. So, I finally switched out my monitor with my sister's old monitor.

2) This new(er) monitor has problems also:
     a) it's HUGE, and can barely fit on my desk
     b) it's just slightly fuzzy, which makes me feel like I need glasses or something
     c) it has just now come down with the SAME color problem that my old one had.

So what I'm surmising is that the color problem is with my actual computer, not my monitor. I have no idea why this one's coming up all fuzzy, though; my old one was perfectly clear, just dark. Also, it's really bugging me that my keyboard can barely fit on my desk and I feel like I have to sit wayyyy back in my chair to even see everything properly.

I've just about had it with these STUPID computer problems. What I really want is a nice, new, pretty laptop with a docking station for my desk, because I don't like using laptop keyboards. I'm nearly considering spending the money and getting a new computer NOW, because of all these annoyances. I just fucking hate it when the stupidest little things like this go wrong and bug me for months on end. I mean, I switched the monitor today because I thought I was finally FIXING all my problems. Now that I see it has the SAME problems, I'm thinking about switching back, because at least my smaller one actually fits on my damn desk.

*cries, srsly*

Also, my HTML handbook back from my Media 109 class has come in handy lately, especially when I can never remember the code for non-breaking spaces. And yeah, that was kinda random, huh?

ALSO. WTF, LJ won't let me upload my animation icon. Says it's too big or something. I don't even want to get in to troubleshooting that right now. >.<

One more thing: classes start tomorrow, and there was much rejoicing. yay. /python reference
