Yes, you read that right. RunAway is back. It's been about six months since the last chapter, so you may want to refresh your memory. Here's links for the previous chapter, Liar, and the complete story index.
To my loyal readers,
I owe you guys an apology and an explanation.
I had a minor crisis with this fic, mostly centering on the amount of schoolwork I had to do, but also some insecurities I had about where the ending was headed. When I stopped writing RunAway, I fully intended to pick it back up as soon as things calmed down. That didn’t happen. Several of you are on my friends-list, so I won’t deny that part of the problem was just me being insufferably lazy. When I did try to write again, I had horrible writer’s block, and then I pretty much gave up for a while. A loooong while. I was frustrated with RunAway, and it was easier to just forget about it. But you guys didn’t.
I cannot tell you how appreciative I am of your compliments and encouragements. I’ve gotten comments from a lot of you on my more recent stories, and I know—I know—how hard it is not to ask what the hell I’m doing writing new things and ignoring this poor unfinished fic. But you didn’t ask, and I’m so grateful for that.
I really can’t thank you enough for sticking with me and waiting through RunAway’s unbelievably long hiatus. I’m so sorry for not continuing this when I should have, when it was still fresh in my mind and yours. I’m sorry for making you wait, and not even trying to pick it up again for so long.
Now, I think I’ve learned my lesson. I won’t start posting my other works-in-progress until they’re finished or damn close to, so hopefully I won’t have this problem again. And now, without further ado, here is the rest of RunAway.
As it’s entirely finished now, I’ll probably be posting 2-3 chapters a week, starting now. There are 60 chapters total (plus an epilogue), so, seeing as this is chapter 50, there’s really not that much longer until the end.
Again, I’m so sorry for all the shit I’ve put you through regarding this fic, and thank you so incredibly much for your continued support.
With love,
your apologetic author.
And now, on to the next chapter...
