OKAY, so I am at my grandparents' house, aka the place with no cell signal, but I got my laptop hooked up to their wireless and that is pretty sweet. \o/

I haven't listened to my mix yet, but I shall do that tonight. I'm excited. \o/ (lots of \o/ emoticons today, hahaha.)

in other news, I had a great girl-talk with my aunt last night, which was awesome. she's super religious but she knows I'm not so she tries not to push anything on me, which is great. we went out to the mall today and there were SO MANY PRETTY DRESSES. I think I will need to go shopping once I get back to Seattle. (two days!)

I'm behind on Glee and Doctor Who, but I just downloaded both to watch tonight/tomorrow. yay! (yay computer + internet, yaaaaay, I can't live without you, Jeeves, never leave me.)

1. i stayed up until 4am. WHY? whyyyy? i was writing shit, and it really is shit, it's completely self-indulgent crap that i don't even want to show anyone, and like, it was 2 and then i looked up and it was 3 and then i looked up again and it was 4 and i was like FUCK THIS, I NEED SLEEP. and therefore slept until 10:30 with an eyemask on because it was already getting lighter and fucking birds were ALREADY CHIRPING at 4am and so when i took it off, i was nearly BLINDED because even though it's overcast today, it's still BRIGHT AS FUCK. happily, i had a snuggly fluffy sleepy lump next to me. (side note: mcr, pls post pictures of various dogs in various guitar cases FOREVER.)

2. i just kept pressing snooze and only really woke up because i got a phone call. from my friend, who is in the recital, and who will be the only good thing about probably humiliating myself today. i've only been practicing this song for like, a week and a half, and i have it memorized again, but it's not... great. and i'm going to be wearing bright hot pink shirts and gigantic fuck-off heels that hurt my feet, and tights that undoubtedly make my thighs look huge, and a miniskirt. IS THAT 80s ENOUGH FOR YA? i've resigned myself to looking like an idiot, but i am going to OWN IT, BABY, and be comforted by the fact that the other costumes will be much more ridiculous than mine.

3. apparently some mcr fan has been spamming the entire band with a link to her fanfic, and she finally got one of them to respond. ray. i saw that and nearly died of motts, not even joking. and then i clicked it, saw gerard's name at the top, and was absolutely horrified. RAY, I'M SO SORRY. he actually read it, i think. I COULDN'T EVEN READ IT. i was too overcome by the motts. i just made disgusted noises and flapped my hands at my computer and tried to erase it from my brain. perhaps ray did the same.

4a. my dad and i watched the top gear goes to america episode, and i love watching top gear with him 'cause it actually makes him laugh for real, and it's so hilarious. i love top gear.

4b. since tomorrow's father's day and i don't have any kind of present at all, and my mom and sister are going to be gone all day, maybe i could take my dad out to see the hangover? it's the only movie i can think of that would be good. he's already seen star trek, we went to angels & demons a week or so ago, and UP is more of a whole-family type movie. and transformers = hell no. but i've heard good things about hangover. whaddya think?

4c. tomorrow is also my BBB POSTING DAAAAAAAY. so exciteddddddddd. omg, i'm so freaking excited, you don't even know. well, giddy_london probably knows. i am so happy with the fic, and the ART, and the MIX (which i have been listening to like, NONSTOP) and ahhhhh i am so ready to post this shit.

5. how completely ADORABLE is this? :D :D :D and i won! i was not expecting that at all. i almost didn't put my name in, that's how much i was not expecting to win. hahahaha. ♥____♥

CHECK OUT MY JOURNAL LAYOUT! it was stressful, oh so stressful, as I fear change of this magnitude, but I LIKE HOW IT'S COMING OUT! it still needs some tweaking, and I'm not sure how I feel about the bright blue link color, but but but, it's DIFFERENT, and I'm OKAY WITH THAT. it will definitely take some getting used to, though. I've had that other style for like, 2 years or something, idek.

I have Gerard and Lindsey in my header and that is pretty awesome. the text was done by Raquel, who is brilliant and reads my mind and stuff, and she helped me a TON with putting this whole layout thing together. I am kind of sad that it doesn't have Frank at all, but maybe in my tweaking I will find a way to put him and maybe others in, idk.

ALSO, Laura is coming to visit me TOMORROOOOOW. (technically today, but whatevs.) my first time meeting online peoples! I think we're gonna get dinner at a place called Corleone's, how awesome is that?

I've updated my index with my recently-posted bandom fics and the couple of lotrips that weren't on there. Hopefully there aren't still a few missing...... Um, there's something weird, though: for some reason, all the text is centered and I honestly don't know why. I've been through the html and it all looks fine to me. Of course, it is nearly 2 in the morning. I'll have another look at it tomorrow or something. Hopefully all the links work. I'll figure out the stupid formatting issues later. ETA: fixed now. there were, um, several things wrong with it. this is why you shouldn't code at two in the morning. >.<

I just reread a few of my own fics tonight that either I completely don't remember writing, or I remembered writing but didn't remember the content.... etc. It was kind of surreal, because like, I knew the fics (obviously, as I'd written them), but I wasn't familiar enough with them still to be like "Oh, that's mine!" I really did think that some of these were written by other people. That's a bit freaky, isn't it?

I'm really kind of hoping I don't have homework due tomorrow. Class registration is in two days, and I haven't even researched any teachers yet. I'm in the shit for sure.

I'm such a dork. I can't really explain this, at the moment, but just know that I am.

In other (better) news, I've been writing today! And I think.. I think... that De Divinatione is nearing completion. !!!!!! I mean, there's still more to write and then it needs to be edited and stuff, but I was writing and I looked ahead (because I'd written some scenes toward the end already), and there just wasn't that much that needed filling in. So hopefully that will be done quite soon, if I keep up this pace. \o/

I haven't forgotten about picspams, btw.

2) I was going to post the next chapter of De Divinatione either today or yesterday, but as I was writing it (and it's way longer now, btw), I discovered a NEW PLOT POINT, so I'm now in the process of going back and revising the first few chapters. LOL

3) I registered for summer classes! Pop Culture and that moviemaking one, which is gonna be SO AWESOME. And the Pop Culture one is online, so I'll only have to physically go to the production meetings for the movie. Which I'm sure aren't going to be early in the morning. YAY. AND, I put in my housing request at SCAD. WOO!

4) Raquel just showed me this, and it is AWESOME.

5) Only one more week of body boot camp. I've survived so far. Sort of. And as of Monday, I'm starting Weight Watchers again. >.<

eta: 6) I JUST WROTE A FICLET. It's Raquel's fault. And that cute webcomic site's. (side note about fic-ish things: I need to repost what I did for m_m, and update my index, and post the next chapter of DD)

I'm so amused by 8 & 9. *g* They weren't right next to each other in the shuffle, but omg I cannot believe how many instrumental/soundtrack songs I have! I didn't realize it was so many. I had to skip a TON because they didn't have any lyrics! Anyway, some of these are probably really obvious, and some considerably less so.

also, I have a few vignettes from my writing class that I'll be posting... sometime. Was gonna do it tonight, but it's too late now and I have to go to bed. I just found out that I have to leave like, half an hour earlier than I usually do tomorrow. BOOO.

ok, fic-wise: would you rather I post the beginnings of longer fics that aren't finished yet, or should I wait until they're either finished or 90% finished before I start posting? or should I just GET OFF MY ASS and finish the gazillion new ficlets that are in my WIP folder?

Happy New Year!! There's still an almost an hour left for you east-coasters, and I've still got a long time, like 4 hours. But I've been roped into an evening of board games with my family, which is kind of a tradition, except this year nobody wants to watch any movies! Which is a pity, as I've got The Flying Scotsman and On A Clear Day at the moment... :P Anyway, I'm taking tons and tons of pictures with my camera, I love it so much, and I'm sure there'll be a Christmas/New Year picspam sometime soon. :D

In other news, I finished my most recent painting (finally), but I still have, like, 8 more to go for my portfolio requirement. >.< Also, my textbooks came today; the writing ones are awesome, and the physics looks slightly scary, but still (hopefully) fun. I can't believe school starts on the 2nd. Not fair! Luckily, that makes for a short first week. *giggles*

so I got into a bit of trouble when I got home, but I won't let that dampen my mood. much. i did like having the car, though, and everything's easier when my mom's not in the car. LOL i'm just less nervous. >.<

oh, my insane studio boys. i ♥ them. cute guy and jeff are the awesomest ever, srsly. and apparently now cute guy and i are like, almost an official pair when it comes to work teams. lol, and jeff kinda teased me and cute guy about the way i ordered him around. hahaha, awesomeness. and then cute guy wrote a teleprompter script that had everyone (including especially me) cracking up. jeff read it wonderfully, and when cute guy read it himself, i had the unfortunate position of being the weatherperson, so i was trying not to laugh too much while i tried to do my job. it was so awesome. sadly, next week's class is cancelled due to thanksgiving, so it'll be 2 whole weeks 'till i see them again. except for jeff; i see him every day between classes, we just don't ever stop to talk. LOL yay for having thanksgiving off, though...

also, i got a 50/50 on my last studio quiz. cute guy, jeff, and i were all comparing scores when they were handed back; jeff missed a couple on one of the earlier quizzes and was like 'damn, i won't get 100%. i guess i'll hafta settle for an A.' LOL we rock, omg.

in other news, i've bought presents for a couple people. one long-overdue birthday present for my friend, because i never got her anything last year (and she also never did have a party....).

i meant to write more nano tonight, but am too tired. i have been drawing a few designs; one (including specs) of the Crawlers that Orlando drives. :D i'm going to draw/map out Billy and Dom's living quarters as well. i'll post them as soon as i scan them in. which reminds me, i still need higher quality pics of a couple things from that meme. it's coming, i promise.
