so my final is today. it's just a little 20 question multiple choice thing. the instructor even admitted that he would make it pretty easy because he just needs SOMETHING to grade us on besides our projects. this is the instructor that took over when the other guy died, so the whole class has been kind of floundering. >.< so anyway, I pretty much have my study guide memorized. should be easy.

one of the things I have to turn in is a "journal entry" of the film shoot, so I'll post that once I go through and change people's names and stuff for privacy. I also have to turn in a peer evaluation, which was hard, because I'm generally a nice person, and I didn't reallly like giving people low-ish marks, but then, I think this needs honesty, right?

in other news, I went to bed at midnight last night, only to wake up (well, I was already awake, so I just got out of bed) at 1am to spend about 2 hours writing a fic. it's nearing completion now. and it's insanely fucked up. I feel incredibly sorry for my Dommie. why do I love to hurt him so? :(

the_challenger that's only half-written, so I have to finish that up and post it too, and of course, RunAway, which I worked on a little bit yesterday.

WOOOO!!! Tony fucking WON the FIRST regional competition in GA!!! His team's going to nationals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm now debating whether or not I should fly down there to cheer/see him. I'd totally do it, except for the fact that I haven't been involved in robotics at all this year, and I don't even know the challenge. Plus, would that be awkward, if it's just me?

okay, where to start?

first, if you haven't been paying attention over at

beizy's journal, DO, because there's a lot of fangirling going on and it's just awesome.

second, fic. I just posted some Monaboyd PWP, so that was nice. I really can't wait to see fics from the ORC girls though, because they were actually there. I've spent like, nearly the whole day bouncing around in my chair and capslock-chatting with

bloodrayveness, which was a ton of fun. and that's when I wrote the fic. lol

As to RunAway, I haven't worked on it in a few days, and the next chapter's about half-finished. But this week is finals week for me, and then spring break after that, so I can use that time to get all caught up. Hopefully I'll have this chapter finished (no real reason why I shouldn't) by Tuesday.

I feel kinda like I'm descending back into my lurker ways, because I haven't been posting or commenting, really, but I have been reading everything. actually, I just kinda suck at commenting all around. sorry. just haven't felt like talking to much of anyone lately.

My second class was cancelled today, and I feel like I can actually relax for the first time since like, last Tuesday or something. So I'm going to kinda summarize some things that happened, and post some stuff that I really should've posted a long time ago. (seriously, this is an insanely long post. like, really really really long. longer than many of my fics kind of long. >.<)

About my own fic; I can't believe how common being late on the chapters is becoming for me. I'm sorrrrry! I really am working on it, really. In between running around for classes and not getting enough sleep, I actually do write a bit!

Oh wait, one more thing. I just came across Sean Astin's short film, The Long and Short of it, on Youtube today! I was really glad, because I hadn't had the chance to see it before. *g* I think it's really well done. Especially since I now have a newfound appreciation for silent, five minute long movies. lol

so here I am. bored. well, mostly bored. we pretty much finished our film shoot about an hour ago (our actor had to leave before we could really finish). also, let me just say that not all cafeteria food is evil. the sandwich I had was actually pretty good!

so now I'm going to finish up this chapter and post it. and then go back to being bored. *g*

O.O more filming tomorrow, then co-op Friday, then weekend class starting Friday night till Sunday, with filming a play on Saturday night, then filming sometime on Monday. whew. just typing that made me tired. I'm going to be so exhausted next week, if filming is going to play out anything like tonight's session did.

problem number 1: my group is getting NOTHING done. and now one of the guys says he wants to add something to the ending, but it totally doesn't need it and it's not that great besides. hopefully we'll be able to have a team meeting during class tomorrow.

problem number 2: my ear is driving me FUCKING INSANE. it keeps getting stuffed up, like in high altitudes, but it won't go awaaaaay. it's been doing this for about a WEEK I think. every now and then it'll get better for a while, but the stuffiness won't go away completely, so I know it'll come back... and I've been rubbing my ear so much I think it's fucking bruised. *bangs head against wall*

problem number 3: why must college searches be so bloody difficult? there should be one college for each subject. find what you're interested in, go to that college. wouldn't that be nice?

stupid ear.

on the flip side, being temporarily deaf in one ear is inspiring a fic.

1) Biology sucks, as usual, and I don't think I did very well on my test, but we did get to dissect cow eyeballs. That was pretty disgusting, but cool also. But still, very disgusting.

2) I'm nearly caught up in LotR. I have to read 6.5 chapters this week, but I already have most of the questions pretty much answered from class... Also, I have a 99 overall midterm grade. \o/ Dunno what I did (or didn't do) to make it not 100 though...

3) Group project for cinema is going horribly; we don't even have a script finalized yet. 10 days until it's due and we still have to plan, shoot, edit, and get music/audio for it. And all around our five very different schedules. I think the other girl in the group is going crazy because we're so disorganized. I wish people would just decide something already!

4) I got my hair cut! About time, too. It was too long for my taste, and getting all tangly all the time. >.< But now it's shorter (around my shoulders) and much lighter. While I was out, I was going to stop by the post office since it's right across the street, but didn't at the last minute because I only had about half the stuff I was going to send. Figured it'd be better just to send everything once instead of a bunch of different little packages.... >.<

5) Next weekend is my Career Exploration class, which should be a lot of fun. I'm about to take my little personality quiz thingies now so that the teacher can analyse the results or whatever it is that he does with them.

6) I have a love/hate relationship with a pair of my jeans. On the one hand, I love that they're loose enough on me to settle around my hips and make me feel like I actually have hipbones, but on the other hand, the fact that they slide down all the time means I have to either wear a belt or pull them up all the time. >.< Another good thing though - no matter what my body's doing, they're allllways a bit loose on me. Which is nice.

7) I need to figure out a recital song for piano. The theme this year is Toys & Games so the song either has to have a toy/game title, be from a movie/musical about toys and games, or the song has to be about toys and games. I've looked at the books I have but so far nothing's jumping out at me. >.<

8) This song, Allegro, is sooo pretty and I'd love to play it on the piano, but a) I don't have the music for it and b) my preliminary google search didn't give me much about the song to go on. :\

First off, my professor is indeed dead. :( Apparently he had a chronic heart condition, and he turned out to be older than I first thought. So now a new instructor is taking over that class, but I'm not sure what's happening with the future classes I was planning to take from him. I'm currently debating going to the memorial thing on Thursday.... I only knew him for about five weeks, while most of the other people in the class had taken classes from him before. Also, I don't think I'd do well at something like that. >.< When I first heard about it, I half expected him to just jump out and say "just kidding!" because that's the type of guy he was. :(

In the class, though, things are moving on as scheduled (though we might push our project deadline back a bit, which will be nice). The people in my group are cool and very nice (except for one, who's probably too nice and very very extremely annoying), and I'm co-writing and co-directing with the same guy (who's actually kind of cute *g*).

Also, in my other class, the script one, the prof (a long-time friend of the other prof) decided not to have a mid-term for two reasons. !) it was incredibly stupid. 2) his best friend just died and he didn't want to deal with it. aww. but yay, no exam! He also blew up at super-annoying-dude, which was nice to see, and then he apologised afterward and (amazingly) super-annoying-dude did as well.

Dunno what exactly I'll be doing in class tonight, but I can expect it will be boring. >.<

okay, i just checked my online class update thingy, and one of the TAs posted a thing saying the instructor passed away this weekend from a heart attack. wtf, is this a joke?? what's gonna happen now with the class?

woke up 20 min. before I had to leave for class, didn't have breakfast, had a snickers bar in between classes, and then when classes were over, it was snowing and my mom was stuck in gridlock traffic at the bottom of the hill. so I started hiking, freezing cold, though the snow, down the hill, under the highway, finally to the car. then, as we still weren't moving, I hopped out to get some McDonald's, then later to get a car charger for my cell. eventually traffic picked up a bit and we made it on the highway for a while. then we had to pull off to put on chains, which were a real pain, and my hair and jacket got soaked with snow (which was about 5 inches deep at that point). then it was slow going (occasionally stop-and-go) up and down the mountain, then we mostly coasted all the way to our house. right before turning into the neighborhood, we passed a snow plow, and it sprayed the car with a ton of snow, even though we were on the side that shouldn't have sprayed much. and at the exact same moment in the exact same sarcastic voices, my mom and I both said "thanks" and then we both cracked up because it sounded so funny.

gotta do a character bio for script by Wednesday. I've it already sketched out, so it should be pretty easy and fun besides. and during cinematography, the TA mentioned LotR as an example of lighting a few times, so that was pretty cool.

update: the snow level at my house is about 5-6 inches right now.

script is realllly good. I have to write a character biography by next week and mine is pretty much already done (or at least sketched out).

cinema is okay, but the prof really loves what he teaches and that does make a hell of a difference. major improvement from last quarter. *hint hint, evil!prof...*

video is... in thirty minutes, but it should be a lot of fun. brought my camera today 'cause I think we're gonna shoot some stuff and practice editing. which will be fun, if a little easy. or really easy. >.<

um.. biology doesn't merit much beside a rant, which I won't burden you with right now. *kicks... anything* stupid fucking bloody projects.

lotr - still behind. i gotta read and answer questions for like, five chapters or something to get caught up.

other everyday stuff: the people who left their car at my house for a few weeks finally came back last night and left this morning. annoying kids. I had to kinda babysit them, even though their mom was right there.

what else can I be completely random about? uh, yesterday I bruised the back of my hand when my backpack snagged my wristcuff. hurt like fuck, but at least it's not a big bruise or anything. just a little red splotch that kinda hurts when I touch it. *pokes* someone tell me to stop touching it. >.<

also, my headphones are broken. sound only comes out of one side now. well, I wanted to buy new ones anyway, so at least now I have a ligitimate reason....

this is so cool. they've a map of the dark matter in our universe! and lol, the astronomers are in Seattle!

in other news, I feel about 80% better than I did a few days ago. maybe it was just a 24-hour type virus. but I also drank a TON of water and tried to sleep a lot, which I'm sure helped. of course, I stayed up 'till 4am last night reading all the textbooks that I was behind in for class today. the cinematography book is SO BORING, it's like reading a safety manual. the two scriptwriting ones are very cool, though.

In school news:

Scriptwriting class is sooooo awesome. The prof is really cool (and he's won an Academy Award, I think!) and it looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun. And I'm even ahead of the game a bit because I already have the script-formatting software!

Cinematography is slightly less awesome, but still really cool. Dunno how exactly the class is going to be structured yet.

LotR - I'm not as behind as I thought!!! Yayness. Apparently only ~~Tiffany~~ one person had the assignment to do chapters 8-11 and the rest of us weren't notified. So that's very nice. And I'm also teaching the class tomorrow. (Tiffany, if you're reading this, we are still having the vocab quiz!)

Bio - still behind. still sucks. don't wanna talk about it.

In less exciting news, I'm feeling the beginnings of a sore throat. *headdesk* I don't wanna be sick.

eta: I'm surprised there's nothing at cafepress that says "Where there's a whip, there's a way." I want that on a shirt. >.< I've had that line stuck in my head for about three days, but I don't have the song, so I can't listen to it. Does anybody have the WWS version?
