summary: Billy and Dom take Billy's new (but used) car for a drive. Inspired by this webcomic, and the alt-text.

The rain sliding down the windshield cast an ever-changing and repeating shadow on Billy's naked body, from the side of his neck, across his chest, and then trailing off onto the cracked leather seat, and Dom, half-sprawled across Billy, traced its progress. The raindrops made their skin look speckled, but under the bluish, overcast sky it just look natural. Like leopards. Billy-leopard and Dom-leopard, balancing precariously on the backseat of Billy's new-but-used car, with Dom lazily sliding his fingers across Billy's sweaty skin.

As Dom's fingers brushed his side, just beneath his ribs, Billy shifted and let out a breathy chuckle, reaching down to stop Dom from accidentally tickling him. He caught Dom's hand, laced their fingers together, and reached over Dom to pull the fleece blanket more tightly around them. They'd driven to the middle of nowhere, and there were no other cars around, but it had gotten a bit cold once Billy had turned off the car, and once they'd finished exerting themselves. The windows were still somewhat foggy, which, instead of making the car seem more confined and small, only made it cozier.

Dom was being oddly quiet, and Billy turned his head to look out the window: the skies, already grey, were slowly darkening, and there were no streetlamps to light the area, only bright green grass and dark trees.

"We should leave soon," Billy murmured, unwilling to break the rain-filled silence. Dom nodded, his hair tickling Billy's chin, but didn't move except to slide his free hand down to Billy's hip. "Or we could stay here..."

"All night," Dom finished, sighing. "Yeah."

The new-but-old car wasn't really built for sleeping in, but Dom didn't mind; they weren't exactly huge guys, and the backseat wasn't too terribly cramped, though they would probably feel differently come morning. But for now, Dom was content to lie still, half on top of Billy and half falling off the seat, and from the sound of Billy's slow, relaxed heartbeat, Billy was content to do the same.

"Day off tomorrow," Dom added after a long moment as he twisted to look at Billy's face.

"We should come back here," Billy said, glancing at Dom and then nodding towards the front window. "It's nice. Peaceful."

"Especially with the rain." Dom sighed again and squeezed Billy's hand. "Let's stay tonight."

"Yes," Billy breathed, then kissed the top of Dom's head. "Let's stay tonight."
