I am in love. I just. He's just. Yeah. Love.

Let's see, I have to call Tony and wish him a happy birthday, I have to call Erin to catch up on the gossip we missed last Friday, and I have to call Augie back because.. um. I randomly called him out of boredom and left a message, and he called me back. >.<

Oh, it was so funny yesterday in Italian; we were all chatting before class started, and one of my classmates (who's always nice to everyone) started going on and on about this girl she saw out in the hall. Stuff like "she looked so dumb, like she's going to die from doing something completely stupid like walking in front of a bus to pick up something." And she was just talking and talking, and we were all laughing, and then one of the guys came in, and she was like "Did you see that girl in the hallway? The one who looks like she's gonna die from doing something idiotic?" and the guy was like "What? OH yeah, her." And so the conversation continued.

And then, when the teacher walked in (long after the conversation had finished), she came with a new student. She was blonde, messy, super-stick-thin, and looked dumber than bricks, I kid you not. I glanced over at my classmate, and we walked out together after class, and I was like "WAS THAT HER?" and she glanced around and said "YES OMG."

The funny/pathetic part? The girl looked every inch how my friend was describing. LOL

So I've realized why I haven't been posting anything lately. It's because as soon as whatever it is happens, I tell Raquel, and then I FORGET it. Seriously, I don't know if I can remember everything that I've wanted to say here in the past... what, week? Or so. Anyway, here's what I CAN remember of the big important things.

1) Piano recital. ExpandIt went... okay. )

Oh, also, my teacher's having ANOTHER recital, for all the seniors she teaches, since we'll all be leaving next year. It's in June, I think, and I need a song for it. ANY IDEAS? I want something that's very me. Maybe something by John Williams, or another movie theme. Sadly, I've already played most of the Lord of the Rings music, and besides that, it's not quite hard enough. Hmmm.

2) FREAK WEATHER OMG.
- It is now spring, and it has been snowing practically every day since, I dunno, last week sometime.
- At this very moment, it's snowing and storming, sort of. Kind of like graupel, only... not? I don't know, it's weird.
- It now feels like Dazzle broke my kneecap with her skull as she was running away from the door in terror after hearing thunder. OWW.

3) ExpandSchool! )

4) My art project is coming along nicely. I have pictures that I haven't uploaded to my computer yet, and continuing the whole paper mache process is on my list of things to do whenever I find the time to get messy. As is uploading the photos. Not that that's messy, just that.. erm, nevermind.

5) If you somehow missed the other post, VOTE FOR DAZZLE, SO SHE CAN WIN STUFF!

6) Oh yes, before I forget (again). [livejournal.com profile] giddy_london and [livejournal.com profile] pippinmctaggart: I watched Top Gear this weekend. And kinda fell in love with it. As did the rest of my family. Yeah, it's like, completely awesome. LOL

7) Megan: *HUGS*

8) Because I can't leave it at just 7. OH, now I remember what I was going to say! I saw The Other Boleyn Girl. Hmm. Yeah, that definitely needs a post of its own.
silentdescant: (please)
VOTE FOR DAZZLE!!!  She could win... erm, something. Like, money and pet insurance or something like that. SOMETHING GOOD. ANYWAY. VOTING ENDS APRIL 7th!!

ps: am in the process of writing a real, much longer post.
silentdescant: (dom/viggo)
first order of business, THIS SONG OMG. I've had it stuck in my head since this morning. and this girl, Brandi Carlile, is from where my friend lives. HOW AWESOME? but omg, yes, this song, I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. I'll upload it if anyone wants it, but not right now, 'cause I'm about to go to bed.

ok, next up: DOM LOVES BILLY, IT IS OFFICIAL. LOL I HAVE NO WORDS. I'm just in a prolonged state of fangirl squee.

school-wise - ONE FINAL DOWN, ONE TO GO. I studied for a lot of the weekend, and I took six fucking pages (graph paper pages, not normal pages) of notes, TWO of which were just vocabulary. but the final went well, I think, and there were sections of it that I was 100% confidant about, so that was very nice indeed. unfortunately, during that time, I didn't even touch physics, so now I have all of a day to go over that.

OH. we have a bunny. my sister's fostering her for the humane society, and her original name was SMIPPLES (yes, you read that right). the first thing the people said? CHANGE HER NAME, PLEASE, OMG. 'cause no one could read it right, or figure out how to pronounce it. we're now calling her Lyla, and she's adorable and soft and weighs more than one of the dogs (Peanut). LOL Peanut's a bit nervous about her, but okay with her; Dazzle's scared out of her mind (we think she's seen Monty Python/Holy Grail too many times, LOL), and Popcorn either HATES her or is just completely freaked out. Lyla nearly gave Dazzle a heart attack when she first got here: Dazzle came in and jumped on the bed and saw this movement out of the corner of her eye and she was like OMGWTFBUNNYRABBIT?!!!?!?!?!!!?! and she's been hiding under my desk a lot now. LOL *pets her*

Expandspoilers for... Project Runway S4 Finale, Biggest Loser Couples (tonight's episode), and Lost - the one about Jin and Sun )

and THE RICHES IS BACK TONIGHT. WILL WATCH IT TOMORROW.

OH, and I had something to post about my Italian class, but I'll save that for later, since it's kinda long and I've already talked about A TON of things. OH, and I wanted talk more about The Other Boleyn Girl, and the second one, and... oh what else? OH RIGHT, King Arthur and my Sex & Sexuality textbook. LATER, THOUGH.

OH ALSO, I can't wait for ScriptFrenzy. I WANNA START NOW. question: would you guys wanna read it as I write/when I finish? it's weird formatting and stuff if you're not used to it. and I'd have to figure out a way to post it, 'cause last time I tried, LJ just erased all the formatting.

OKAY NOW I'M RAMBLING. BEDTIME. ...oh and, FIRST this weekend. unfortunately, I don't think the SeaTac tournament will be simulcast, otherwise I'd link you to it, but if it is, I'll let you know. it's very cool.
silentdescant: (to do list)
Monday is my last official day of school. I have an Italian final on Tuesday and a Physics final on Thursday; my two writing revisions are due in by tomorrow (and they're finished--OMG BEFORE THE LAST MINUTE, YAY ME), and I have a "self assessment" for that class (yeah, I don't know either) due by Monday. And then? FREEDOM. ...for, like, just over a week. UNFAIR. BUT FREEDOM.

So, tomorrow: Italian presentation, which hopefully will go okay. My lines are partially memorized. And how did I end up with the two longest lines in the script? >.< AND THEN, a quiz in physics which I'm sure to fail, because I've pretty much stopped paying attention in that class, and he's trying to cram all this crap into the last week, and everyone in the class is just like OH FUCK OFF. So which is better: sucking in two classes, or sucking HORRIBLY in one and hopefully doing mildly okay in the other? Or do they average out to the same thing?

The sucky part about physics is that I would probably do well with it... with a different teacher, on a different schedule. *sigh*

I'm going to be reciting my Italian lines in my sleep tonight. My two hardest lines:

Io e la mia famiglia ci siamo andati agosto scorso e non ci siamo divertiti. (WOO, THAT ONE'S MEMORIZED! hopefully it will stay that way.)
Che??! No!! I miei zii abitano le a Tragani, e sono pazzi! Se andrò ci avro dovrò a visitare loro. (...yeahhhh, that one's still killing me.)

And then next weekend (directly after my physics final), I (and hopefully Tiffany) will be going down to Tacoma to do the FIRST stuff, which will last for like, 3 or 4 days. It should be fun though. I think my official job is "prop assistant for the announcer", which should mean that I'm gonna be handing the guy a bunch of weird crap and getting a lot of down time while being right up front so I can see the action. LOL I love that my mom's the volunteer coordinator.
silentdescant: (angsty dom)
omg i feel like crap. and i hate being social. bleah. on the upside, three-day weekends win at life.

completely unrelated: happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] darkerbreed!! besides being awesome, you always post such interesting stuff. *hugs*

today i watched 'make me a supermodel' or whatever the fuck it's called. omg, my opinion of supermodels is not changed at all. they are utter wimps. O.o and then i watched proj. runway, which was actually kinda cool, but i didn't personally like much of the stuff they made. oh well.

my head hurts.

9. Juliet's father has disconnected her phone and locked her in a 4th floor bedroom to keep her away from Romeo. As she looks down from the balcony, she sees Romeo standing directly below her with a cell phone in each hand. Hoping to speak with her, Romeo throws one phone straight upward. In his eagerness, he throws too hard and the phone passes her outstretched hand (not once but twice) and strikes Romeo on the head 5.0s after it leaves his hand.

11. Unjustly blaming Juliet for his physics miscalculation in Problem 9, Romeo makes a plan that he things will not depend on her ability to catch flying objects. Noting that the balcony rail is almost 12m above his outstretched hand, he stomps 12m away from his previous position and prepares to throw the phone at an angle so that it will land on the balcony whether Juliet catches it or not. Determine the magnitude and direction of the initial velocity that will result in the phone reaching the peak of its motion just above the rail.

(from the sample exam that my physics teacher sent out)

School was canceled due to snow today, by the way. FUCK YES. SNOW FTW. And the weather report says more snow tonight, so I'm hoping it'll be enough to close school again. *CROSSES FINGERS*

Things that happened over the weekend: I had a bra fitting. SCARY, but a good thing overall. And now I have 3 very nice new bras that actually FIT and make me look great, so, that's good. And after that my mom and I went shopping in Nordstrom, and we basically never left the dressing room. OMG, those helper people are so nice and awesome. I ended up getting 2 sweater things and a summery shirt. I never knew I could wear stylish stuff and look nice. It was almost overwhelming to see that I did look nice. Really, amazingly nice. I really was kind of shocked. I'll have to post pics sometime. Oh, and then on Sunday, I went to see a movie with my dad, The Air I Breathe, which I will post about sometime later.
silentdescant: (write)
I have a whole kind of depressing monologue planned, but I actually want to talk to my mom about it first, so that's later. Now, though, I have happy news, writing-wise.

I had a bit of a panic attack when I was reading through Escaping Blame, because I got to the end of the document and I just knew that I'd written more. And indeed I had, but longhand. So (after finally finding the journal) I transcribed all of that (it turned out to be about 1.6k words), and now I think I'm ready to write more.

But, the amusing (and possibly disturbing) part: I'm a complete and utter SADIST when it comes to writing Dominic. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. You will, though, once I start posting this fic. LOL I read through it, and I typed it, and then I read through it again and was like, HOLY CRAP, I'M SO EVIL. So this fic? IS VERY DISTURBING. KEEP THAT IN MIND.

My favorite line from tonight:

"His limbs were still like lead weights, and his head felt full of cotton stuffing. Or marshmallows." (Dom, after waking up)

I love Escaping Blame!Dominic. And I'm having a lot of fun reacquainting myself with this story.

good idea: starting homework when it's assigned, then finishing it well before it's due.

bad idea: ignoring homework and starting it the night before it's due, at 10:40pm.

take a guess at which idea I had.

in other news, I rather liked Kingdom of Heaven, though I did think it was too dark most of the time. there's a time and place for darkness, and most of the time, I just want to see what's on the screen, really. I liked Orli's hair, though. lol

and in still other news, [livejournal.com profile] mock_the_stupid is hilarious.

ETA: Not due until Friday, yayness! unfortunately, that is now tomorrow, and I still don't have near enough of it finished. FUCK.
silentdescant: (to do list)
today was much with the wtf-ness.

Expandto and fro )

Anyway. That was my day at school. I recorded a voice post, but then people started talking to me, so I couldn't finish that. eta: but it posted anyway! Here it is. lol Now on to less boring stuff.

1. [livejournal.com profile] bloodrayveness has posted an RPS Fandom poll, which I really want you all to go vote in, because I'm very interested in everyone's answers.

2. Reading [livejournal.com profile] semaphore27's This Is The Way the World Ends (lotrips/the stand crossover) is probably not the best idea late at night. But it's so good. Oh, Dom.

3. I'm having trouble thinking of a good situation for my writing assignment this week, Last Lap: "Last Lap places the character, right in the opening lines, close to the climax of a series of events. So the story begins partway up the face of the cliff and not when your character, Arnold, first got interested in mountain climbing." It's quite an interesting prompt, but all I can think of now is mountain climbing. Any suggestions for a situation? Anyone? Anything?

1) snow on the roads this morning. mom drove me to school (and therefore picked me up as well).
2) dad called, said he's going to the doctor's office; hospital as a possibility. (kidney stone)
3) had to go with mom and sister to sister's humane society thing, and then to the doctor's office to get my dad's car.
4) drove dad's car home, while my mom and dad went to the hospital. (then I watched some tv, and when I got into the car again and realized I hadn't done any homework, I literally said "well, that was dumb" out loud to myself. how idiotic am I? very.)
5) went to pick up sister from the humane society; drove home.
6) drove sister and dog to agility class, a place I'd never been before. by this time, it was raining quite a lot and very dark.
7) realizing I wouldn't have enough time after the class to finish my homework (DUE AT 9pm), I tried to find a library. having no idea where I was was a bit of a problem; cue me jumping over about 3 lanes in the space of 2 seconds when I finally spotted the library. thank the lord it was brightly lit and OBVIOUS.
8) drove back to dog class (after finishing homework, yay!) and waited around in the freezing cold.
9) drove home, finally, and had dinner. FINALLY.
10) having had quite enough for one day, I'm going to bed.

tomorrow: Italian, Physics (short class), home, homework.

also; I'm down 2 lbs from my first weigh-in at the start of the year (which had put me back up to where I started, sadly enough). hopefully re-losing some of that weight won't be so difficult.
silentdescant: (incredibly sexy)
oh crap, it's 1am. today = first day of school. Italian was interesting; there were 2 sections of the 101 class, but now there's only 1 section of the 102 class, so we've merged together. physics was kinda awesome, the instructor seems pretty cool. tomorrow we're doing some kind of experiment with bowling. should be fun. so far in writing, I've introduced myself and gotten several replies about my nano fic. \o/ speaking of, I need to get cracking on that, but not right now. I also have to choose another picture to paint; there's one I like from the second photoshoot we did, but the position's just SLIGHTLY off, and I'm not quite confident that I'd be able to wing it. I also have to take care of those STUPID FUCKING DVDS OMFG *KICKS THINGS*. it's the job that won't. fucking. end. and the worst part is, she's already paid me. also, I have to email Kevin. shit. the FIRST kickoff is like, next Saturday or something. or the one after, I dunno. and also, one of my NY's resolutions is to stick to weight watchers omg. >.< and also, I had lots of stomach pain today, no idea why. *clutches stomach* owie.

anyway, now Raquel's got me dreaming about a new fic, as well as a couple WIPs, and omg sweet dreams tonight. *cackles*

and randomly, Brent Corrigan was awfully adorable when he was young. well, sexy and adorable. LOL
silentdescant: (superhappy dom)

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

well, that was fantastically unimpressive. we watched a 3-hour-delay of the ball dropping in NY, and then quickly switched over to KING 5 for the "New Years at the Needle" fireworks show... wow, how pathetic was that? we laughed ourselves silly, joking that some guy was probably going up and down the elevator, and then around the top, manually lighting each one (that's certainly what it looked like). and omg they actually did, though it was from the control booth. ROFLMAO

Computer glitch throws wrench into New Year's at the Needle (there's probably a video of it somewhere, or there will be soon, but I can't be arsed to find it, and it's slightly painful to watch anyway. LOL the video link is there now! lol)

eta: an actual article about what happened: Computer glitch stops New Year's Eve fireworks at Space Needle
silentdescant: (dance)
I think something got a bit mixed up here... "The flies left his mouth like tiny words." (from chapter 19, Captivity) Since he's a bear, I suppose it's possible for flies to be leaving his mouth, but... I doubt it. LOL I finished the book, by the way. I'm going to start The Subtle Knife tonight. :D

And also, my highest score in bowling today was 111. That's alright, right? I think that was the only time I broke 100. LOL
silentdescant: (merry christmas)
I've got a buzz from drinking my dad's wine at dinner. O.o whoooa. how do you keep drinking past the buzz is my question. 'cause now i've got a headache as well from everyone yelling. lol

dinner was alright; i just had pasta, though. my dad opened his birthday presents and then, from then on, my uncle was kind of insane, and when he started ranting about violence and sex in movies, and then the golden compass being aethiest, i was about to explode. about 98% of the things he was saying were just fucking stupid, in today's world. maybe when he was young it was alright, but not now. i wanted to hit him. and then i was kinda falling asleep on my dad and escaped upstairs to watch the big fat quiz show of the year 2006 on youtube, with noel fielding and russell brand, which is hilarious and awesome and omg i love them so much. and then my cousin came up and said that my dad actually DID fall asleep, and in fact, he still was asleep when i came down to say goodbye to everyone.

apparently tomorrow we're all meeting downtown to see the gingerbread houses. while kind of interesting, it's mostly boring. am not really looking forward to it. >.< hopefully sometime over the weekend we'll go and see national treasure 2 and/or sweeney todd (again, for me! woo!)

eta: *glances at flist* and now, of course, there's like, 4 new fics (or chapters) i wanna read. i must resist, for the moment, anyway, and go to bed. :(
silentdescant: (to do list)
and so much stuff has happened! first of all, in TV land...

- The Office: Casino Night - OMG JIM. CRYING. LOVE. AWWWWWWW. ♥ SO MUCH.
- The Beatles' Help! movie - CRACKTASTIC. I think the best part was watching them mess around in the snow, LOL.
- the Monk and Psych holiday specials - were nothing really special. >.< but any new Psych is good, because it is adorable. :P

in the mail today came the movies Reign Over Me, which looked really good, so I can't wait to watch it, and THE FLYING SCOTSMAN. YAY!!! I also have Hairspray from the store, and that really has to go back, but I haven't watched it yet...

in school news, I got an A in Studio Production. as if I could've gotten anything else. and a B in math, which means I didn't do fantastically on the final, because before the final, I think my grade was about a B+... and I don't have my grade for Italian yet, but my grade prior to the exam is a 92.8, which is ALMOST an A, I think. I looked up the books I need for next quarter: Italian uses the same book I already have, which is very nice; Physics requires like, 4 different book/workbook/study guide things, booo; and the two books for Writing Fiction look AWESOME. can't wait to get those in my hands. :D

as I said a while ago, cute guy had something else going on and couldn't come to Sweeney Todd, but it's always fun when my dad and I see movies together, so I really wasn't too bummed. the movie was AWESOME. and the blood was very Tim Burton-ish: bright bright red, and therefore not very disgusting. there was a lot of it, though. but there was so much humor in the movie too, it was really cool. and then the costumes were awesome, and the singing was alright, and it was just soooo cool!! I do think the gothy makeup was overdone in a couple of scenes, though. but overall I liked it. I can't wait to see it again when it actually comes out. lol!!

currently, I'm rearranging furniture in the house. amazing how just rearranging a room makes it look so much cleaner. LOL of course, there's actual cleaning being done as well, much to my annoyance. :P my friend is coming over on Sunday night and staying until Monday to help us clean (she's getting paid to clean, btw. I wish I was getting paid. >.<) I think the grandparents are coming on Wednesday, which doesn't leave a whole lot of time... and then my dad's birthday is on Saturday next week, so that's when we're going to have the first big family dinner of the holidays, I think.

other randomness:
- I'm in chapter 4 of The Golden Compass, and so far I realllllly like it. hopefully I'll be able to finish it before I go see the movie.
- omgwtf coyote? there was a coyote in our backyard earlier today!! WTF? for reference, I live in the very densely populated suburbs. O.o
- ever since classes ended, I've been staying up extremely late at night and waking up extremely late in the morning. I dunno why. my body rebels against waking up early now. :P
- FotR last night = ♥. I don't know why I get so fangirly when the movies are on TV, seeing as I have them on extended edition DVD.... :P
- there's a part near the end of The Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks (which I finished recently and really enjoyed) that I agree with SO MUCH that I was literally saying "YES, EXACTLY!!" out loud as I listened. I don't want to spoil anyone or spark an argument or anything, so I'll just say that the passage pertains to religion and leave it at that.
- tony emailed me a photo of us from the weekend we first met. awww, we're so little! apparently we were 12, but we certaily don't look it from the picture. lol
- I started writing a Dom/Viggo ficlet a few days ago and it has since grown into something much more involved than I was planning. but there will still be porn, don't worry about that. *g*
silentdescant: (thinking)
my day today was SUCH UTTER CRAP. for no particular reason. i woke up on the wrong side of the bed (figuratively, of course, since i only ever sleep on one side of my bed...) but yeah, math was a bit crap, italian was more crap, time in between classes was pathetically spent moaning about the classes themselves, and the study period after italian? omg french guy need to shut up. and everytime i look at Lake, i think Owen. LOL he's so sweet, though.

but anyway, the good things:

lord of the rings soundtrack. always and forever, i will love it. and i want the score for christmas. *hopes*

Raquel's emails. omg ♥

the incline of trees.

chicken noodle soup.

by the way, Tiffany, here's a few videos of Owen. "Meet Owen" "Owen's top 10 moments" (annoying background music, but oh well) and "Ianto clips from episode 12" (that's the episode where Ianto and Owen were all angry and fighting, lol. Spoilers, obviously. and here's a picspam with mostly Ianto and Jack, but some Owen too.
